Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This policy describes information processed by the Audentic platform, operated by Detextit. It covers account holders, visitors to our website, and people speaking with agents embedded on business websites.
Who handles your information
Audentic handles information needed to operate the platform. The business operating an embedded agent supplies its knowledge and decides how to use conversation records and enquiries. That business can access its own agent’s saved conversations and submissions. Check the host website’s privacy notice for how it uses that information.
Information used by the platform
- Accounts: sign-in information handled by Clerk and the account identifier used to associate agents and records with their owner.
- Business content: agent instructions, voice settings, business knowledge, uploaded or imported content, widget preferences, and approved website origins.
- Conversations: audio processed by OpenAI during a voice session, speech transcripts, session identifiers, model information, timing, and available usage data.
- Enquiries and forms: contact information, messages, and other fields that a visitor reviews and chooses to submit.
- Technical information: request origins, IP-derived rate-limit identifiers, and operational request or error information needed to authorize access, limit abuse, and troubleshoot service.
Microphone, audio, and saved transcripts
The browser requests microphone access when you start a voice conversation. Audio travels to OpenAI over a WebRTC connection for speech processing and responses. The application saves text transcripts and session metadata; its current conversation-history feature does not store an audio recording. This does not describe or override the model provider’s own processing and retention practices.
End the conversation to stop the widget’s microphone tracks. Your browser also lets you revoke microphone permission. Ending a call does not remove a transcript already saved in the business’s workspace.
How information is used
Information is used to sign you in, configure and publish agents, answer questions using supplied business knowledge, display conversations, save confirmed enquiries and forms, report usage, and protect the service against unauthorized access or excessive requests.
If the owner enables current web answers, the assistant may use an OpenAI web-search workflow. Queries may include details relevant to your question. Interactive screens and forms may also process the details you provide. Avoid including secrets or unnecessary sensitive information in conversations, searches, knowledge, or form submissions.
Service providers and recipients
The platform uses OpenAI for model and voice processing, Clerk for account authentication, Neon/PostgreSQL for application records, and Vercel for hosting. Information needed for each function is processed by the relevant provider. These providers may process information outside your country. We do not promise a specific data-residency region or zero data retention.
See OpenAI’s API data controls, Clerk’s Privacy Policy, Neon’s provider privacy notice, and Vercel’s Privacy Notice for their published practices. Contact us for questions about providers used for your account.
The agent’s business owner receives saved conversations and confirmed submissions. If you follow a source link or a link to another website, that website’s privacy practices apply.
Cookies and browser permissions
Account sign-in uses Clerk’s session mechanisms, including cookies. Voice uses your browser’s microphone permission. Host websites may have their own cookies, analytics, and notices; an Audentic widget does not replace those notices.
Retention and deletion
Saved conversation transcripts and enquiries have no automatic expiry in the current application. Deleting an agent removes its configuration, knowledge, and visitor submissions from the active application database, but historical conversation records may remain. Contact us to request removal of those records. Operational logs, backups, authentication records, and model-provider data have separate retention practices and may remain after deletion from the active application.
Owners can pause or delete their agents in the workspace. Visitors should contact the business operating the agent about access, correction, or deletion of that business’s conversation records and enquiries. Contact Detextit below for Audentic account or platform privacy requests. Information may be retained when needed to provide the service, resolve a request, protect security, or meet legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
You can use a host website without starting its voice widget, decline microphone permission, end a call, and decline to submit a form. Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your information, or to object to processing and complain to a data protection authority.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process account information to provide the service you request, and technical information to protect and operate the service. Businesses using agents are responsible for the legal basis and notices for their own visitor information. To make a request, email us with enough detail to identify your account or the agent and conversation involved. We may need to verify your identity and coordinate with the business operating the agent.
Updates and contact
We update this policy when the platform’s processing changes and communicate material changes where required.
