Work with coding agents
A coding assistant can add an existing, published Audentic agent to a website repository. Give it the agent ID, the Audentic application URL, and access to the website code. ChatGPT can produce the change for you; tools such as Claude Code and Codex can make it directly when they have access to the repository.
The coding assistant handles the website integration. Audentic authorizes the voice session and supplies the saved agent configuration; the visitor's browser then connects to OpenAI over WebRTC. The OpenAI key stays on the Audentic server.
Prepare the agent in Audentic
- Create the agent in Audentic. Add its business information and reference materials, then choose its voice and optional capabilities.
- Test a conversation in Test & publish. Drafts can be previewed by their signed-in owner.
- Add the website's exact origin to Website addresses. For example,
https://example.comandhttps://www.example.comare separate origins. Add a staging origin separately if you will test there. - Publish the agent and copy its agent ID or generated website snippet.
An external website cannot start a conversation with an unpublished agent or one that does not allow its origin. The agent ID is safe to put in browser code; your OpenAI API key should never go there.
Give your coding assistant a focused task
You can paste this prompt into a coding assistant that can work on your website:
Add our published Audentic voice assistant to this website.
Agent ID: YOUR_AGENT_ID
Audentic application URL: https://www.audentic.org
Inspect the site's framework and existing conventions. For React, install @audentic/react and render SessionControl in a client-side component. For another website, use the hosted embed.js script and audentic-embed element. Put the assistant where visitors can find it, keep credentials out of the browser, and run the project's usual build or typecheck. Tell me the website origin I need to add in Audentic and any browser checks I still need to perform.
The React and website integration guide has working examples and the available widget options. You can also give an agent the Audentic integration skill as a short set of reusable instructions.
Verify the website
Visit the allowed website over HTTPS, or use localhost for development. Allow microphone access and start a conversation. If the widget is inside an iframe, the parent iframe must allow microphone and autoplay. If the site has a restrictive Content Security Policy, it must allow the Audentic script, requests to the Audentic API, and the widget's inline styles.
Create agents by voice
Inside Audentic, Create agent creates and refines a draft, imports website facts, and lets you try the result. You review and publish it on screen. Follow the quickstart.
External management tools
Audentic does not yet offer a supported public management API, coding-agent credential, CLI, or MCP server. The voice builder uses private endpoints that require the owner's browser sign-in. Visitor session tokens cannot manage agents.
A scoped management API, CLI, and MCP tools are planned. External coding assistants can install an existing published agent today using the steps above.
