Give an agent reliable knowledge

Knowledge is the business information your voice agent uses in conversation. Start with concise, current facts that a visitor is likely to ask for: what you offer, hours, prices, booking steps, policies, and contact details.

Add business information

Open your agent from Agents and select Knowledge. You can paste up to 24,000 characters into What should your agent know? Structure the text with clear headings and answers:

Opening hours
Tuesday–Sunday, 10am–6pm. Closed Monday.

Beginner classes
No experience is required. Classes last two hours.

Booking
Visitors can book at https://example.com/classes.

Select Save changes when you finish. Use specific dates or qualification where facts change frequently, and update the text when your business changes.

Add reference materials

Under Reference materials, you can:

  • Import a public HTTPS webpage by URL.
  • Upload a text, Markdown, CSV, JSON, HTML, or PDF file, up to 5 MB.
  • Write a note directly in the editor.

Audentic extracts text for you to review. Give each reference a clear title, correct any extraction mistakes, and save it. A webpage import reads the page you entered; it is not an automatic crawl of your whole site. The combined business information and reference articles are limited to 40,000 characters. If you reach the limit, shorten or remove less useful material.

Check the result

In Test & publish, ask the agent several questions whose answers are in your knowledge. Also ask about a missing detail. If it answers with an outdated or unsupported claim, make the reference more explicit, save it, and test again.

Knowledge supplies context; it is not an unlimited document search system. For the rest of the setup, see Configure an agent and the quickstart.
